Our Team
Our Team is well trained and eager to assist with all surgical needs, billing and scheduling questions. We pride ourselves on prompt service, professionalism and compassionate care for our patients. Our surgical staff at Contours Oral Surgery include experienced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Registered Nurses, and trained Surgical Assistants. We also have medical specialists in Anesthesia who administer IV sedation and general anesthesia for surgery.
Jolene
Office Manager, RDA Jolene began her Registered Dental Assisting career over a decade ago. With her role as Office Manager she has been able to bring in her experiences from many team sports; President of the College of Alberta Dental Assistants and her past role at NAIT in the School of Health Sciences to assist her in her position. Jolene has honed all of her past experiences to bring the best of her skills to managing a busy Non-hospital Surgical Facility and she does it seamlessly.
Krista
Treatment Coordinator, RDA Krista, as a Registered Dental Assistant, initially began her career in British Columbia. Having joined Contours Oral Surgery in February 2017, she has been an exceptional addition to the team. Her warm and friendly demeanour is an essential part of patient at Contours Oral Surgery. Krista also has a huge heart when it comes to animals, she is an experienced equestrian and loves her budgie Percy.
Katrina
Surgical Assistant, RDA Katrina, has been a practicing Registered Dental Assistant for over 17 years. Joining Contours Oral Surgery in June 2021, she has been a wonderful addition to the team and always brings laughter to the office. She strives to make all of her patients feel comfortable and treats everyone with an exceptional level of care and compassion. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and her puppy dog Zoey!!
Carlee
Surgical Assistant, RDA Carlee graduated from the NAIT dental assisting program in 2017 and worked in general dentistry for 5 years before joining the Contours team in June 2022. Outside of work, she loves spending time outside with her husband and they go hiking and camping as much as possible in the summer. She also enjoys being an auntie to her many nieces and nephews and spending as much time as possible watching them grow.
Surgical Assistant, RDA Alyssa graduated from the NAIT Dental Assisting program in 2009 and went on to work in general practice for 3 years before moving into oral surgery where she has worked since. In her free time, Alyssa spends it with her husband, two children and two poodles camping and farming. Alyssa is an avid equestrian and has been riding since the age of 8 and she now enjoys the sport with her daughter and their two horses.
Paula
Administrator, Paula began her career as a dental assistant in 1997, working the majority of her time in the field of orthodontics. Recently, she moved back to Edmonton from Vancouver Island after enjoying a memorable couple of years by the ocean with her husband & son. Having personal experience with oral surgery, Paula was keen to work with an Oral Surgeon and is thrilled to be part of our administrative team. While not working, she enjoys reading, yoga, watching hockey, travelling and time with family and friends.
Christine
Administrator, Christine graduated as a dental assistant in 1984 and has seen many changes. Lucky for her, it’s an industry that she loves and enjoys going to work everyday with this great group of people everyday! She grew up in Northern Ontario and moved to Edmonton in August of 2008. Chris has two children, her son is a Naval Officer stationed in Esquimalt, BC and her daughter lives with her husband and the cutest, funniest and kindest granddaughter ever (in her humble opinion hehe) in Brandon, MB. In Chris’ spare time, her husband and her enjoy going to the multitude of Farmer’s Markets we have available to us here in Edmonton and travel any chance we get.
Suzanne
Administrator, Suzanne grew up on an acerage not far from the small town Mallaig, AB. She moved to Edmonton in 2008, and has been working as a Registered Dental Assistant since 2010. She enjoys all aspects of Dentistry, and is happy to be working at as a dental administrator at Contours Oral Surgery. Aside from dentistry, Suzanne enjoys fishing, gardening and camping.
